Hey! How you doing?
I love the robot in today’s cartoon. I love him so much, it gave me an idea. I’m going to do a series for the next month of strips devoted to Meaningless created characters. Each week will profile a different character. There may be a story involved. There may not.
Next week will either be centered around Mr. Tree and Jimmy (my two most popular recurring characters) or my newest creation, this little robot, who I’ve named LB-177. LB stands for “Love Bot”. You’ll see more of why that is later.
Mana Akua is coming along in my brain. I’ll be going to the art store this weekend to buy plus-sized sheets of paper. Yep, that means I’m going to start actually drawing the sucker. The rest of this week (today, really) will be spent finishing my story boards. Yeah, you need to story-board comic books, even though the books is itself a storyboard. It helps so, you know, you don’t spend weeks painting panels that end up looking gross.
