Assassin-teers

I’m totally blowing the relationship between the Cardinal and the Musketeers out of proportion. The Musketeers never tried to assassinate the French Cardinal, at least, that I can remember. They had a sporting rivalry with the Cardinal’s guard, challenging them to duels and generally getting into arguments with them at any chance (the [...]

Musketeers Assemble!

I love doing Three Musketeers comics, but I do seriously believe that these guys have reached a point with me where they are only limited by the comic-strip medium.  I have ideas for vast and sweeping short stories that involve character development and risque comic shenanigans too complicated to fit into a three or four [...]

GAH!

So, it’s been a week since my last blog.  I’m not sure why, but going on my own schedule (and the various odd jobs I’ve been doing lately) has kept me away from it.  I apologize and will do better from now on.  At least I could justify my usual sentence-long blurb, right?  Gah, indeed.
I [...]

Where the hell have I been?!

If you were around last week, you probably noticed that I had a comic every day, but no blog.  Well, this week starts with the reverse, as I have a blog but no comic!  Damn me and my inconsistent ways.
So, here’s the links to the comics from last week (which I do mostly as a [...]

Escargot? What the hell is that?

The Three Musketeers order a pizza.  This is the exciting life they lead now in the 21st century.

The Three Musketeers Go for the Gold

Today’s comic shows that my Three Musketeer characters seem to exist over the course of several centuires, as they are here to do their usual battling with arch-enemy Cardinal Richelieu, which took place, I dunno, several hundred years ago.  Tomorrow they’ll be back in present day, eating pizza.  Go figure.
I love these guys.

Musketeer Duel

Someday, I might make a full-on Musketeer comic book.  I love writing them so much that an on-going story devoted to them would be a dream to create.  Until then, these one-shots will have to do.

The Three Musketeers Hunt a Tiger

I’m not sure if Dumas ever elluded to this, but those of us in “the know” understand Athos’s secret shame.  He’s scared shitless by tigers.  But being Athos, he’s at least willing to get over his fear in the name of adventure.  But when the moment comes to actually get in there, he’s gonna bolt.

Hu-Ha! Depressing!

I drew today’s comic last night.  When I first thought it up, it made me chuckle (all a comic has to do, really) so I drew it and scanned it and all that jazz.  When I went to post it this morning, however, it kind of shocked me how, just, sad it was.  Oh well.  [...]

When you strap a horse to a car

I broke one of my own rules today.  I try to make myself use only the colors black and white with Meaningless, but today I had to dip into the “grey” pond, and I made a precedent.  From now on, the 3 Musketeers have to have grey-colored boots, hats, and gloves.
I did that today because, [...]
